Our first gig of 2024 will be an afternoon of acapella and acoustic music in the beautiful surroundings of the Octagonal Chapel in Heptonstall. We love singing here! Join us on 24 March, 2.30 to 4.30. Waiting for Dawn will perform alongside some special guests who also happen to be good friends of ours. With this gig we aim to raise money to support two charities that are important to us: Survival International and Medical Aid for Palestinians.

We are very happy to be joining Three Valleys Gospel Choir to help celebrate their 15th birthday with a fundraising concert at the Unitarian Church in Todmorden , 2.30 to 5.30. We will be one of 6 singing groups performing, singing in the autumn afternoon. As well as helping to celebrate the 3VGC birthday, this concert will raise funds for Todmorden Food Bank. 7pm Tues Jan 24th at St Mary's Church in central Todmorden 'Windborne' have been described by Songlines international music magazine as 'the most exciting vocal group in a generation' BBC Travelling Folk described Windborne as 'subverting expectations and redefining the genre (of vocal music)... just absolutely phenomenal!" You really are in for a treat - hope to see you there ! A full house of more than 100 people on Sunday 13 November at the Octagonal, Chapel Heptonstall raised £1116 for the DEC Pakistan Flood appeal. The fundraiser for climate change linked flood relief took place midway through the important COP27 international climate negotiations taking place in Egypt. Waiting for Dawn teamed up with all female trio The Top Shelalas for a diverse and much enjoyed musical afternoon. Thanks to everyone for their fantastic support at this event. A gig in the sky....We are delighted to announce our next gig. We will be singing in the beautiful, historic setting of the Octagonal Chapel in the village of Heptonstall, high above Hebden Bridge and with beautiful views over the Hebden Valley. We will be joined by the fantastic Top Shelalas from Sheffield. A three piece group offering gorgeous harmonies, soaring strings, guitar, ukelele, percussion and more. 18/4/2022 0 Comments April 18th, 2022Two gigs in a weekend!On 2nd and 3rd of April, we sang twice! On Saturday night we had a gig at the Fielden Centre in Todmorden, alongside Manouche North. On Sunday afternoon we sang at the Cowshed in Marsden, alongside xxx. Both gigs were held in support of local food banks in West Yorkshire. We are delighted to say that we raised more than £800 to support the work of these vital services. Thanks for helping us folks!
